A Filipino Christmas Song

A Filipino Christmas Song

Lechon roasting on an open fire
Lumpia's frying on the stove.
Aunties in the corner
Saying Tsis-mis with pride
Like they are always in the know.

Everybody knows
That Diniguan
Isn't Chocolate Meat
And if it was
It wouldn't taste quite right

Cuz this Christmas
Is also about the food
You'd find on a Filipino
Table tonight

We know that
Santa's on his way
While we're at
Simbang Gabi
Trying to Pray

But thoughts are back at home
About the warm
Snow-ball soup
Moms calls Ginataan

And so, I can't wait
To dig right in
Pass the Pancit
And Adobo

Like it's been said
Many Times
Many Ways
Maligayang Pasko

Everytime I see the Wendy's Boneless Wings ad, I always ask, "Where's the rice?"

Does anyone else think the same thing, or is it just me? But for realz, "Where's the rice?"

Not being Filipino enough

Have to admit, when I saw the name Randall Mann, my first thought is, this ain't no Filipino name. But the more I thought about how hypocritical I was I realized that having a "Filipino" name doesn't make one. It probably goes along the lines of, if you don't know how to speak Pilipino then you're not Filipino "enough". So wrong. Thus the definition of what being Filipino broadens, and what I can summize is that being Filipino is all in the heart.

Sorry so short, but this blog was written via iPhone at the SF Public Library. Ah, technology.

Looking for men who enjoy busting balloons--especially by sitting on them--and would be willing to do so on camera.

$50.00 an hour.

Not looking for professional models.

Send pix/email for more info.

21+ only.

  • Location: Bay Area
  • it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
  • Compensation: $50.00 per hour

Why is this 21+? Sounds like it's for a weird fetish or something... ew...

Skype says "Take a deep breath."

I love this start up window onload for Skype. It's a good reminder.

This looks interesting. Especially for those unorganized people like me: Delicious Library 2

Catalog your books, movies, music, software, toys, tools, electronics, & video games.

Since I've been in transition, aka been laid-off and still looking, I've been telling myself to get all my books together and organize them. This bit of software looks like it might help! It's called Delicious Library 2. It says to hold up the book, DVD, or CD's barcode up to your computers webcam/iSight and then it'll post a virtual picture of that item on a virtual shelf. And then you can post notes to it like where it is or who you lent it to on what date. Interesting... but it costs $40.
